For those who have missed, Google has started the Android One initiative in India where they will help the mobile vendors to build affordable smartphones with standardized hardware and stock Android (AOSP). That means Google will recommend the hardware to be used to build the smartphone and also include stock Android OS with update directly coming from them.
Coming to the smartphone details, Spice Dream UNO Mi-498 spots a 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 Pixel. The smartphone is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad Core Mediatek processor coupled with 1GB RAM and Mali-400 MP GPU. On the back it got a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and on the front it got a 2 megapixel camera for taking cool selfies and video chatting. It carries 4GB internal storage that can be further expanded using microSD card. In addition to this Google will be offering free 35GB additional storage on Google Drive.
On the connectivity side the Spice Dream UNO got dual-SIM capability with support for 3G and 2G networks, along with other connectivity options like WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.
