On this day in 1983, Microsoft’s Bill Gates first unveiled the
Windows operating system for PCs. It wasn’t actually until 1985,
however, until the first version was officially released to
manufacturing—that’s 29 years ago. The screenshot above is what the
graphical interface of Windows 1.01 looked like. Colorful, flat, lots of
white space. It kind of sounds like how you’d describe some popular
mobile interfaces today.

teach you how to find it on your computer or network. Sometimes it’s

hardware, you can still stop it. Here’s how.
Method 1 – Virus and Malware Scan

Change CHKDSK countdown time
When you schedule CHKDSK to run at the next boot, the system will
prompt you to press a key to cancel the operation while CHKDSK is
running.
One option for CHKDSK is the use of the Command-line
/R
parameter, which allows the program to repair damage it finds on the hard drive. The system will display a countdown during that cancel
period. The default value is 10 seconds.
